Marcie Steward is the Founder and CEO of The Rampart of Amarillo Senior Living and Memory Care Homes. Having worked in the senior care industry for most of her professional career, Marcie saw a gap between the large over 55 communities and nursing homes. She understood that most people want to live out their lives in a home environment as long as possible while still receiving the daily help and care they might need.

The is how the idea for The Rampart of Amarillo was born. With a heart and love for seniors and those with memory care needs who desire to age with grace and dignity, she set about locating homes and creating a team that would serve with the attention and care that seniors deserve.

Marcie is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and is committed to helping memory care residents navigate all the stages of Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Marcie holds a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences from West Texas A&M University and is currently working on her master's degree. She is also a mother, grandmother and pastor, and leads everything in her life with faith.

We are devoted to providing compassionate, dignified care for adults aged 55 and above, with a special commitment to those who have memory care needs. Our communities are designed to be safe, comfortable, and engaging; places where seniors feel at home, supported, and connected.

We specialize in Mind Over Matter care helping residents achieve peace no matter the stage of memory care support they need. Understanding the unique needs of memory care residents we offer specialized programs as well as ongoing staff training to offer the best in care as residents progress through all the stages. Our team works with family care givers are trained to provide respectful, personalized support and includes:

Training for family and caregivers
Working with our local Alzheimer's Association
Low Patient ratio (1 to 3/4)
Enhanced Security and Alarms for safety
Weekly family updates
Monthly Care Plans
Memory Minutes (Pictures and Videos of residents for family)
RN on staff
